Elk Valley can expect snow over next few days

Mainroad East Kootenay is urging drivers to be cautious over the next few days as wet snow is expected in the Elk Valley.

Rain and wet snow with accumulations up to 15 centimetres are expected for the Fernie and Elkford areas from now until Thursday.

You should make sure your winter tires are in good condition, and remember to carry an emergency kit in your car.

Mainroad will be pre-treating the roads and responding to the weather 24/7.
