Kimberley promoting accessible Halloween

The City of Kimberley is promoting accessibility initiatives taking place this Halloween.

The City said several residents in the Alpine Crescent area are helping make trick-or-treating more accessible.

From 4:00 to 5:30 p.m., participating residents will move down their driveways to bring the treats closer to the street.

The idea is to remove physical barriers for children who may have difficulty navigating stairs, steep driveways or other obstacles.

Homes with an orange sign on the lawn are participating in accessible trick-or-treating.

Businesses participating in the Platzl Trick-or-Treat have also been asked to consider accessibility.
