Drug alert issued in Cranbrook

Interior Health has issued a drug alert for the Cranbrook area.

Interior Health said drugs being sold as down, dope, tranq and Fentanyl have high amounts of Medetomidine, Ethylflualprazolam and Fentanyl.

The drugs with high amounts look like red chunks.

The combination can lead to significant sedation and overdose symptoms may last beyond naloxone use.

Interior Health recommends getting drugs tested at ANKORS.
