Aggressive moose with calf reported in Fernie’s James White Park

The City of Fernie is asking residents to stay away from James White Park after an aggressive moose with a calf was spotted in the area.

City officials said the public should avoid the area until the animals have time to move on.

Residents are reminded that it is important to keep pets on a leash in Fernie’s parks to reduce the chances of causing a conflict with wildlife.
