Winter parking regulations coming soon in Fernie

The weather is changing and it’s almost that time of year again for Fernie to move to winter parking regulations.

Those regulations are in effect from Nov. 1 until April 15 each year.

Drivers will have to follow the alternating parking schedule unless there is other parking signage.

During winter season, vehicles cannot park on the:

  • South or East side of roads between 4:00 a.m and 4:00 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, or Sunday.
  • North or West side of roads between 4:00 a.m and 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday.

You can find neighborhood specific maps to learn which side of the street you should park on each day of the week.

Any vehicles not following the regulations could be subject to fines, towing or impoundment.
