Byram back in the lineup after IIHF suspension

Cranbrook’s Bowen Byram is back on the ice representing Team Canada in the International Ice Hockey World Championship after serving a one-game suspension.

Byram was suspended for slashing Finland’s Jesse Puljujarvi between the legs early in the first period during their match on May 18.

Byram missed Canada’s game against Switzerland but was back for the team’s final Round Robin matchup against the host Czechia on May 21.

He didn’t tally any points but Canada won 4-3 in overtime to take first place in the tournament heading into the quarter-finals.

Byram has one goal and three assists through six games.
