Angel Flight East Kootenay keeps patients connected to medical care

Angel Flight East Kootenay has been helping residents reach medical care in Kelowna for more than seven years, providing flights at no cost to patients.

The volunteer-run registered charity was founded in 2019 by retired airline captain and lead pilot Brent Bidston. The service operates flights from the East Kootenay to Kelowna on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Vista Radio spoke with Bidston about how Angel Flight got started, the growing demand for its service and the community support keeping it in the air.
