Water system flushing in the District of Invermere starts next week

The District of Invermere will begin its annual water system flushing Monday.

The district said routine flushing will run from Sept. 7 to Oct. 16 on weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Crews will work zone by zone throughout the community.

Residents may experience temporary discolouration, reduced water pressure or increased sediment while flushing is underway in their area.

The district said the maintenance helps maintain water quality and the reliability of the community’s water distribution system.

Regular water treatment and testing will continue as usual.
