The Village of Radium has implemented Stage 2 water restrictions due to unprecedented algae blooms in the community’s water settling pools.
Village staff said it was caused by the unseasonably warm weather and staff are working to address the issue.
In the meantime, Stage 2 restrictions are in effect.
Even numbered addresses may water on Mondays and Thursdays between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
Odd numbered addresses may water on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Watering of food plants and gardens is allowed more frequently with a handheld canister or a hose with an automatic shut-off nozzle.
