Cranbrook council sets RDEK and hospital board appointees

Cranbrook council has decided on who will represent the city at regional district and hospital board meetings.

The city had to appoint two members of council.

Mayor Tom Shypitka and councillor Joe McGowan will serve as directors.

Two alternates were also chosen in case either director is unable to attend a meeting.

Councillors Ron Miles and Robin Goldsbury will be the backups.

They will serve as directors and alternates for the next four years.

The first RDEK board meeting is scheduled for this week.
