College of the Rockies invites future students to explore their options at open house

College of the Rockies is inviting prospective students, families and community members to explore educational opportunities at an open house at its Cranbrook campus on Nov. 3.

The event, themed Experience Your Path, will run from 4 to 6 p.m. and give visitors a chance to learn about programs, meet instructors and staff, and explore the college’s student services.

Attendees can tour the campus, speak with service coordinators, and learn about resources that support students throughout their studies.

The event will also feature a Campfire Chat, where prospective students can connect with current students, hear about their experiences and ask questions about academics and campus life.

“Choosing a post-secondary path is one of the most important decisions a person can make, and Open House gives future students the chance to explore their options in a welcoming and engaging environment,” said Norma Sherret, interim vice-president of academics.

“Whether you’re preparing for your first career, upgrading your skills, or pursuing a new direction, College of the Rockies is a place where you can experience your path and discover that your next chapter starts here.”

Prospective students who apply to a College of the Rockies program between Nov. 3 and 8 will be entered into a draw for a tuition voucher.

Attendees can also enter the Choose Your Adventure Grand Prize Draw, featuring a mountain bike, skis or a snowboard from Gerick Sports, a Sony headset and Owala water bottles.

The open house is intended to help prospective students explore their education and career options before deciding on their next steps.

More information and pre-registration are available at cotr.bc.ca/open-house.
