Resurfacing work on Highway 3 is underway and will be moving closer to Fernie come July.
Current work is going on between Kikomun Road and Elko.
Come July, resurfacing will move to the next section, from the Fernie Ski Hill to the east Fernie bridge.
City of Fernie staff said that work will take place through July and August.
Work hours will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday with no work on Sundays or over long weekends.
Traffic will be down to a single lane with approximate delays of 20 minutes.
