Public hearing set for Sparwood traffic regulations

The District of Sparwood has set an informal public hearing for July 7 to go over proposed changes to the traffic regulations bylaw.

The bylaw has been given first reading, but council received feedback from the public over concerns with the changes.

The changes would update the bylaw created in 1987 and include new provisions related to truck routes and no truck routes on Michel Creek Road, from Industrial Road #1 to GN Road.

Written submissions are being accepted until 4 p.m. on July 7.

The in person hearing is scheduled for 6 p.m. on July 7 at council chambers.

More on the proposed bylaw can be found here.
