Sharpen your skates as Cranbrook’s Kinsmen Arena has opened its doors to public skating.
This comes after the arena’s ice plant was shut down while crews work on repairs on the neighbouring Memorial Arena.
“It’s a big day! After a lot of important work by a lot of people, we have skaters on the ice today at the Kinsmen Arena,” said city officials.
The Kinsmen Arena is open to school groups during the day, youth groups after school and adults in the evening.
City officials said the Kin Club of Cranbrook’s free public skate returns on Sunday, Feb. 4.
