Sparwood seeking feedback on 2023 Municipal Report

Sparwood residents can provide feedback on the district’s 2023 Annual Municipal Report before it is presented in council chambers.

The report details Sparwood’s notable highlights throughout the year, such as the completion of Centennial Plaza and the Timbers affordable housing project.

District officials said the document will be open for comment until 9 a.m. on June 4.

You can provide feedback through written feedback submitted to the municipal office, or by emailing [email protected].

You can also speak in person at the June 4 council meeting set for 6 p.m. in Council Chambers.

Mayor David Wilks said 2023 was a big year for commercial development.

“Successes this year were certainly some of the commercial builds that were completed in Sparwood or on their way to being completed, like McDonald’s, boy you’ve hit the big time when you get a McDonald’s,” said Wilks.

“Teck building their administrative building was big for us.”

You can find a copy of the report here.
