Cranbrook traffic stop yields firearms, cash and suspected drug

A Cranbrook man has been arrested following an assault investigation.

Police began their investigation into an assault involving a firearm on Dec. 27 and were able to locate a suspect and pull him over that day.

Police said he was arrested without incident.

“The officers involved continued the investigation and located the firearm believed to be used in the offence,” said Cst. Katie Forgeron.

“Subsequent to the search, a large amount of money and suspected drugs were located.”

36-year-old Thomas Andre Flury has been charged with reckless discharge of a firearm, assault with a weapon and uttering threats.
