Firefighters Fueling Fear for Annual Haunted House

Halloween is just around the corner as the Windermere Fire Department makes its final preparations for its annual Haunted House.

Claiming that the 2019 edition of the Haunted House will be their biggest ever, the Windermere firefighters are hard at work to make the event the best it can be for the Columbia Valley.

“As we continue to try to offer up a frighteningly fun experience for all ages, this year we will have two separate timeframes,” said Jim Miller, Columbia Valley Rural Fire and Rescue Service Chief. “We will open the Haunted House for the youngest trick or treaters from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm. The full-scare experience for older ages will run from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.”

Miller said that firefighters will be on-hand at the Windermere Fire Hall to guide people through the Haunted House.

“It’s so rewarding to be able to plan and participate in such a fun event,” added Miller. “It helps us give back to the community and be part of a special tradition in the Valley.”

Everyone is welcome to attend the Haunted House on October 31, 2019. There will be free admission at the door, but firefighters will be accepting donations for the food bank.
