Elkford Aquatic Centre will be closed for maintenance

Residents in Elkford will have to do without access to the aquatic centre for most of the remainder of July.

The Elkford Aquatic Centre is closing its doors for its annual maintenance shutdown from Saturday, July 4, to July 26.

The yearly shutdown sees staff drain and clean the pools, service equipment, and complete maintenance.

The closure allows the District of Elkford to do the work needed to continue providing the public with the safest, cleanest and most pleasurable swimming experience possible.

During the closure, the pool office area will remain open, so residents with questions about swimming lessons, programming or any other summer inquiries can seek assistance.

The Elkford Aquatic Centre will reopen on July 27.

The District of Elkford appreciates the public’s patience as this necessary work is done to maintain the standard of the aquatic centre.
