Yet another delay in reopening the Elkford Aquatic Centre

Update: Residents in the District of Elkford will have to keep their swimming goggles and flippers in the closet a little longer.

The reopening of the Elkford Aquatic centre has been delayed once again.

The new scheduled opening is postponed until next Tuesday, October 13.

Original Story:

The District of Elkford said additional time is needed to allow tile work to properly cure, resolve boiler issues and complete facility cleaning before the centre can safely reopen to the public.

The aquatic centre is expected to reopen Tuesday, Oct. 6.

The district apologized for the delay and thanked residents for their patience and understanding.
