The Regional District of East Kootenay is holding Volunteer of the Year celebrations and information meetings in five electoral areas.
“These meetings are a valuable way for residents to learn more about current projects and we encourage everyone to take part and gain a better understanding of how the 2026 budget breaks down in their area. In addition, some of the evenings will include a presentation to the Electoral Area Volunteers of the Year, so we are looking forward to a good turnout,” said RDEK communications manager Loree Duczek.
The Electoral Area B meeting will be held June 3 at Jaffray Community Hall.
The Electoral Area G meeting will be held June 9 at Edgewater Community Hall.
The Electoral Area E meeting will be held June 15 at Wasa Community Hall.
The Electoral Area F meeting will be held June 18 at Windermere Community Hall.
The Electoral Area A meeting will be held June 23 at Hosmer Community Hall.
All meetings will begin at 7 p.m. Details on each meeting can be found at www.rdek.bc.ca/calendar.
