Boil water notice lifted in Cranbrook after nearly a week

A boil water notice affecting the entire city has been officially lifted, nearly a week after it was issued.

Late Saturday evening, Nov. 22, city officials issued emails and social media posts informing residents that regular water use could resume. Residents no longer need to boil water for drinking, brushing teeth, washing fruits and vegetables or making ice

The City of Cranbrook appreciates the cooperation and understanding during the inconvenience.

“The Boil Water Notice in place since Tuesday, November 18, 2025 for the entire City has now officially been lifted this evening.  All customers on the City’s water system may now return to regular water use in their homes. We appreciate your patience and understanding while we worked through this. Thank you.” said Bradley Jones, Cranbrook legislative and policy analyst.
