Cranbrook city council will be meeting again in the New Year to discuss the budget as talks start to wrap up.
The expected tax levy increase for 2024 is 8.64 per cent.
Council is supposed to have a special budget meeting on Jan. 10.
City staff will be seeking council’s approval to bring forward the 2024–2028 Five-Year Financial Plan Bylaw for three readings for the Jan. 22 regular council meeting.
If more changes are needed after the discussion at the special budget meeting, staff will discuss options for moving forward with council.
