The Yearling Creek fire east of Invermere has triggered more evacuations and evacuation alerts.
The Nipika Mountain Resort, three properties in the Cross River area, Cross River education and retreat Centre, Cross River FSR and Cross River Canyon recreation site are under an evacuation order.
Six properties on Settler’s Road and the Horseshoe Rapids recreation site are under an alert.
The fire was discovered on July 9 and has grown to 1,150 hectares.
It’s believed to be lightning caused.
