BC Hydro has a planned outage for Radium at the start of October

BC Hydro has a planned extended power outage for Radium Hot Springs coming in October.

The extended outage will span 14 hours on Sunday, Oct. 4, from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. as BC Hydro crews work to replace critical structures.

The structure replacements will reinforce reliability in Radium Hot Springs, Golden, and Parson.

Only certain residential areas of Radium Hot Springs will be affected by the outage, and the downtown business community can proceed as normal on October 4.

BC Hydro advises the public to fill their car with fuel and be prepared for the prolonged outage to avoid disruptions to their families and businesses.
