Columbia Valley Late Bus launches next week

The Columbia Valley Transit Late Bus officially launches Tuesday, September 22, with a ribbon cutting at DTSS at 6:30 p.m., followed by its first trip.

The Late Bus will run from 6:45 to 9:20 p.m., connecting Canal Flats, Fairmont, Windermere, Invermere, Radium and Edgewater.

The service is meant to give residents and students a reliable way to travel during the evening.

The pilot project will operate until November 13 using Valley Vibes’ 24-seat bus.

Each ride costs $2.50, with tickets available from the driver or at the Village office by cash.

The project is supported by the DTSS Climate Club, Wildsight Invermere and several community partners.
