The BC Wildfire Service has rescinded the area restriction around the Silver Basin Fire in Bugaboo Provincial Park.
The fire was discovered on Aug. 28 and the area restriction was issued on the 30th.
The lightning caused fire grew to an estimated 490 hectares.
Although the restriction has been lifted, the BC Wildfire Service is warned that significant safety hazards may be present.
Fire damaged trees could be unstable and ash pits can be hard to detect.
It is still an active worksite and officials still have the power to order anyone to leave the area.
Smoke will likely still be visible from the area over the coming weeks.
The area restriction around the Kidd Creek fire near Yahk has also been removed.
