The 450 hectare Kid Creek fire near Yahk is now being held, however, the area restriction remains in place.
The blaze was discovered on Sept. 2 and was human-caused.
Meanwhile, the Silver Basin fire in Bugaboo Provincial Park is still out of control and has grown to 490 hectares. The lightning-caused fire was discovered on Aug. 28.
An area restriction and evacuation alert are still in effect.
All other fires in the East Kootenay are either being held or under control.
