The BC Wildfire Service and City of Kimberley are conducting a prescribed burn in the Forest Crown Estates West area.
The burn will cover 12 hectares between St. Mary’s Lake Road and the Forest Crown Estates Development.
The timing of the burn is weather dependent, but it could start as early as Sept. 16.
Smoke will likely be visible from Kimberley, surrounding communities and Highway 95A.
