A Fernie Ghostriders defenceman has earned himself a star of the week for his strong play over the weekend.
Eric Martin scored three goals and added an assist in two games against the Kimberley Dynamiters.
He had a hat-trick on the Dec. 29 game where they beat the Nitros 5-1.
Martin joined the team part way through the season coming from the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.
Through 11 games he has 14 points and leads the Ghostriders blueline with 1.27 points per game since joining the team in November.
