The Fernie Chamber of Commerce is touting the success of the 1st Annual Golf Tournament.
The event went ahead on June 15 at the Fernie Golf Club to a sold-out participant list.
Chamber staff said the tournament brought out local businesses, community members, and golf enthusiasts.
“Teams played on the front 9 and were greeted at each hole by a hole sponsor who entertained participants as they waited to tee off,” said Fernie Chamber officials. “Ideal weather and stunning views created a perfect setting for participants to enjoy the full Après experience on the club house patio.”
The event raised funds for the Chamber of Commerce, which will go to building the organization’s capacity to deliver on member priorities, services and advocacy on behalf of its members.
“The collective efforts highlight the strong community spirit that defines Fernie and the Chamber’s commitment to being a vibrant business support organization for local businesses, community partners and citizens,” said Fernie Chamber officials. “The Chamber remains dedicated to supporting businesses in Fernie and sustainably strengthening the local economy and quality of life in Fernie.”
