Aquatic Center to Remain Closed Through October

Cranbrook’s aquatic centre will remain closed for the duration of the 1.72 million dollar roof construction.

The city says reopening was slated for Tuesday, October 15th, but will be pushed back, and no firm opening date has been set.

Debris falling into the pool was the original cause of the facility’s closure.

“The City appreciates the patience and understanding of all aquatic centre users and will provide the public with more information on when the aquatic centre will open as soon as possible,” said the city of Cranbrook.

According to the city, swimming lessons for the month have been cancelled and credits have been placed on accounts due to ongoing work.
