A Christmas tree bonfire will happen on Jan. 6 as the Fernie on Fire fundraiser returns.
The bonfire will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
The bonfire is by the outdoor rink next to the Fernie Aquatic Centre.
Residents can drop off their trees at the City works yard or the bonfire site on the day of.

Fernie Fire Rescue will also be picking trees up curbside in Maintown, the Annex, the Airport and Ridgemont starting at 8 a.m.
The fundraiser will feature music, raffle prizes, and a BBQ, with proceeds going to local charities.
