Sparwood resumes Lions Park lighting upgrades

The District of Sparwood is resuming lighting upgrades around the Lions Park skating loop and pathway.

The project is expected to take three weeks and crews will be working between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.

The contract for the project was originally awarded in October and the total project cost is $316,823.84.

The lighting will allow residents to access the skating loop when it’s dark early in the winter months and will light up the pathway year-round.

Residents are asked to obey all posted signage in the area.
