Lock your vehicles says Cranbrook RCMP

Cranbrook RCMP is investigating multiple thefts from vehicles in the early morning hours on Wednesday.

Police say the majority of calls span a four-block radius of the intersection of 6th Street South and 16th Avenue.

Police obtained security camera footage of one suspect.

The Cranbrook RCMP is requesting residents in the area with security cameras to check for any suspicious activity from Wednesday morning.

Police say the majority of reported thefts have been from unlocked vehicles.

Residents are encouraged to set daily reminders to adopt a 9 p.m. routine and lock up their property.

Anyone with information on Wednesday’s thefts or the suspect in the photo is asked to call the local non-emergency line at 250-489-3471 or Crime Stoppers at 1800-222-8477.
