Dynamiters get set for first game in 12 days

The Kimberley Dynamiters are eager to get back on the ice after last weekend’s game was postponed due to a closure on Highway 3.

They were supposed to play the Creston Valley Thunder Cats but couldn’t make it past Moyie after a snow plow and vehicle collided on a bridge near Yahk.

They are home this weekend as they welcome the Chase Heat and Nelson Leafs into town.

“We need to focus on our game this weekend, especially with these two opponents. One we haven’t seen and one we haven’t seen in a long time,” head coach Derek Stuart said.

“We’re sitting in a good spot in the standings in our division it’s our first place to lose. We have to take care of our home games for sure.”

The Nitros have 49 points and a 23-8-3 record but the Columbia Valley Rockies and Fernie Ghostriders are close behind.
