Rock removal to close Rails to Trails

A portion of the the Kimberley-Cranbrook Rails to Trails will be closed on Thursday for a rock removal.

Crews will be removing a large rock overhanging the trail.

Work was originally planned for July 23 but it’s been delayed until the 25th. Work may continue into the next day.

City of Cranbrook staff said a detour around the work site will be in place along Wycliffe Store Road to Wycliffe Park Road.

Residents are asked to obey all posted signage and barricades.
