Cranbrook pool to close for maintenance work

Cranbrook’s Aquatic Centre in Western Financial Place will be closed for two weeks starting on June 17 for annual maintenance work.

City officials said it has plenty of projects planned for its annual maintenance work.

“The pool surge tanks will be drained and cleaned with maintenance repairs, the lobby will be painted, squash court lighting will be replaced, repairs will be made to the pump, as well as cleaning sand filters, the deck drain, and touching up the lobby floor and making repairs,” said city staff.

“In addition, general maintenance and repairs will be done to the arena boards, the air handler unit, and the net cable system.”

The wave and lane pools, sauna and steam room will re-open on Tuesday, July 2.
