Police and the BC Conservation Officer Service seized 10 guns illegally owned by a Golden resident.
The Golden-Field RCMP executed a warrant on Friday.
“After a lengthy investigation, the RCMP determined that the residents illegally possessed and used firearms on a regular basis, without the licencing, training, or basic safety knowledge to do so, states Constable Kat Robinson, Media Relations Officer with the Golden-Field RCMP.
Two people were arrested and 10 guns and various ammunition were confiscated.
Police said the guns were improperly stored and several were loaded.
Charges of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm and Unsafe Storage of a Firearm are being recommended.
