Majority of Eddie Mountain Division Hits the Road

Seven games are on the schedule this weekend in the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League’s Eddie Mountain Division.

Friday night features just two games, however, as the Creston Valley Thunder Cats host the Fernie Ghostriders and the Columbia Valley Rockies hit the road against the Spokane Braves.

Creston and Fernie open action at 7:30 pm from Johnny Bucyk Arena, as the Thunder Cats look to extend their three-game winning streak while the Ghostriders hope to snap their two-game slide. The Rockies and Braves hit the ice at Eagles Ice Arena in Spokane at 7:00 pm.

On Saturday, Fernie heads up the Elk Valley for a special home matchup at Elkford Arena. The Ghostriders will play host to the Beaver Valley Nitehawks at 7:30 pm.

The Dynamiters drop the puck with the Grand Forks Border Bruins at 7:00 pm on Saturday from Jack Goddard Memorial Arena before Sunday’s 2:00 pm matinee with the Spokane Braves at Eagles Ice Arena.
