Rockies defenceman Saskatchewan bound

Tyson Tisdale of the Columbia Valley Rockies will be heading to Saskatchewan after signing with the Kindersley Klippers.

Last season he tallied 16 points in 37 games.

He says he’s excited about the opportunity to move up to the SJHL.

“It’s awesome. That’s the whole point. You go to the KIJHL to move on and this is a stepping stone,” said Tisdale in a release.

“I think I gave a lot for my time there and it shows and I’m super excited to go into Kindersley.”

He says he was offered a spot after going to their spring camp.

Tisdale says the Rockies coaching staff was very helpful in his development.

“I played important minutes. Especially missing out on my third year of midget (Red Deer Chiefs U18 AAA) from COVID-19, just getting that extra development there that I missed out was really helpful,” said Tisdale.
