Kimberley allows two-way traffic on Burdett Street to improve flow

The City of Kimberley has temporarily opened Burdett Street to two-way traffic to help ease congestion caused by construction on Kimberley Avenue.

The route is open to local traffic only and commercial vehicles are not permitted.

The city said the temporary change is intended to improve traffic flow on Swan Avenue and reduce delays for vehicles accessing Wallinger Avenue.

Pedestrians are encouraged to use the trail on Swan Avenue.

The city is also asking drivers to follow posted signs and traffic control measures and use extra caution while travelling through the area.
