City of Fernie voices residents’ concerns on worksite to developer

The City of Fernie has shared residents’ concerns with the developer of the 190 Whitetail Drive project.

Numerous Fernie residents have raised concerns about dust, earthworks and construction activity related to the development.

The developer told the city it is aiming to complete site paving by the end of October, which is expected to significantly reduce dust from ongoing earthworks.

Although paving is targeted for completion by the end of October, additional construction, including curbs, sidewalks and other site improvements, will continue.

The city said it is continuing to work with the developer to limit construction-related impacts as work progresses.
