Notice of intent authorized for Wildstone DVP

Cranbrook city council has authorized a notice of intent for a development variance permit for the Village at Wildstone development currently underway.

Notices will be sent to property owners and occupiers within 30.48 m of the subject properties at Lot 4 Wildstone.

The DVP is to allow a steeper grade than normally permitted for the internal drive aisle.

It would increase it from the allowed 8 per cent slope to 12.5 per cent.

The steeper section is proposed where the internal road connects the two sides of the property and runs over an existing Fortis gas line and water main, which makes it difficult to meet the current 8 per cent requirement.

The request has been forwarded to the fire department for input, before council makes its decision.

The Village at Wildstone is a two phase project, with two buildings in each phase. Each building would be a four-stories with 63 units.
