The Columbia Valley Search and Rescue responded to an injured mountain biker on Mount Swansea.
Crews responded quickly and stabilized and transported the biker to Emergency Health Services.
SAR officials said they were able to utilize a new response capability in the field.
CVSAR is now CDFL certified, which is a type of helicopter rescue where one or more rescuers and subjects are suspended on a line attached to a helicopter.
SAR officials said this certification helps access subjects faster and improves safety for the person and crews.
