The District of Sparwood has scheduled its fall town hall meeting, where residents can learn more about ongoing projects.
The meeting is a chance for council to directly interact with members of the community.
Likely topics will include the upcoming curbside recycling program and counter composting technology.
Councillor Steve Kallies said they will also discuss what they learned at this year’s UBCM convention.
“Let’s talk about what we did there. It was great to do at the last one and we didn’t do as well at times past, when we’ve had opportunities,” he said.
“It’s an investment by the community to have us there and we’ll talk about hopefully things we advocated for and where we got.”
A public survey will be launched a head of time to gather additional topics.
The meeting is set for Oct. 28 from 6-7 p.m. A question period will then take place until 8 p.m.
