Convicted sex offender Randall Hopley has been released from custody and will reside at a halfway house in Vancouver.
The 60-year-old is most known for kidnapping a three-year-old Sparwood boy in 2011.
He was released on a recalculated statutory release after he was suspended due to breaching his conditions on his previous release.
While he is out of prison, Hopley is still bound by a number of conditions.
He is not to be in, near or around places where children gather, be in the presence of any child under the age of 16 and obey a curfew of 6 p.m. to 7 a.m.
He is also not allowed to have any contact with victims or their family, cannot possess or access pornography, access the internet unsupervised and must reside an a halfway house.
The Vancouver Police Department is asking anyone who sees Hopley breaking a condition to call 9-1-1.
