Kimberley residents will be able to ask questions and learn more about two big projects in an open house next month.
The open house will cover the changes to the wastewater treatment plant project.
The city changed the scope of the project to fit its original budget.
“With a change in design, a change in location and some other modifications including the way we are managing the project we managed to get that cost back down to $90 million,” said Mayor Don McCormick.
It will also explore the Ice Facilities Strategy which will guide the future of investments in recreational ice infrastructure.
The ice facilities report presented options on renovating existing facilities, renovating and replacing or full replacement of facilities.
Council has not decided on anything at this time and the full report can be found here.
The open house is scheduled for Oct. 15 from 1:30-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. at Centennial Hall.
