Crews will be closing a short section of the Rails to Trails next week to conduct slope safety work.
Work will start on Aug. 6 and take 2-3 weeks.
It’s a joint program between Cranbrook and Kimberley that will remove loose rocks from the slope.
Part of the trail will be closed for the duration of the project, but a signed detour will be in place.
Residents are asked to follow detour signs and stay out of the closed area.
