RCMP looking for vehicle bandit

Police in Cranbrook are looking for a women believed to be involved in two separate vehicle thefts.

RCMP officials said the first theft occurred on July 28 at around 3:30 p.m., when a white 2011 Ford F-350 was taken from the 800 block of Kootenay Street North.

It was later recovered in the parking lot of East Side Mario’s.

A second theft occurred on July 29 at approximately 8:30 p.m.

A blue 2019 GMC Sierra was taken from the 1500 block of 3rd Avenue South, but was located shortly after, abandoned near the intersection of 22nd Street South and 4th Avenue.

Police believe the same woman is responsible for both thefts and are asking for the public’s help in identifying the woman pictured.

The RCMP is asking that anyone with surveillance, dashcam, or doorbell footage from the afternoon of July 28 or the evening of July 29 to review their recordings for any images of the suspect or the stolen vehicles.
