Cranbrook capital works projects chugging along

A number of Cranbrook’s key projects for 2025 are well underway, with others slated to start soon.

City staff said construction is now underway for Phase 1 of the Victoria Avenue Sanitary Sewer Trunk replacement project.

Work will include upgrading and upsizing the existing system from 6th Street North to 2nd Street North.

Roadway repaving will follow, with work expected to be done sometime in October.

The new watermain, service lines, and water meters have been installed as part of the 6th Street South reconstructed.

That project was paused due to recent heavy rainfall, but remains on schedule.

Work is underway for Phase 4 of the Sewer Lagoons Project McPhee Road is set for a major upgrade.

Work on McPhee Road is slated to begin in mid-August and run until mid-October.
